Bio

Yana Grant is a business technology, change-management and Trust & Safety agent who makes big decisions based on messy, real-world signals. She has worked on human annotation and QA for AI/ML safety models at Meta. She has found patterns in labeling, made sure that reviewers are more accurate, and worked with policy and engineering to make workflows better. She worked at LinkedIn before this, where she looked into patterns of abuse and fraud to protect a global user base and helped train GenAI to find harmful content. At Lockheed Martin, she wrote standard operating procedures (SOPs), led the move to new tools (ServiceNow and Jira), and sped up the time it took to fix incidents. She also worked on enterprise tech at the U.S. Congressional Budget Office and got her start at NBCUniversal. She has a B.B.A. in CIS from Howard University and is an AWS Cloud Practitioner and an Atlassian Agile PM. Yana was born in Long Beach, California, and she shares a birthday with Dwight Schrute. Yes, she loves beet juice.
